📝 What you can do as an Author

You have the Author role on Didask? This guide explains what you can do independently, and when you need to reach out to a Coach or an Administrator.

⏱️ The essentials

• As an Author, your main environment is the Projects page: you create, edit, and organise training content.
• You can create publications, but it's the Coach who broadcasts them to learners and manages groups.

ℹ️ A single user can hold multiple roles on the platform. To go further, check out the following resources:

✅ What you can do independently

Creating and editing training content

  • Create, edit, and organise your folders and projects (including the chapters, modules, and granules they contain).

  • Access collaborative projects and contribute to them. This requires you to be listed as an authorised author. Learn more.

  • Create publications and configure their options (certificate, final assessment, comments, module locking).

  • Edit the dates and locations of in-person modules.

Tracking your training courses

  • View statistics for your publications (completion rates, overall progress).

ℹ️ Individual learner statistics are not accessible to Authors.

🔎 What does the interface look like as an Author?

🤝 What requires help from a Coach

The following actions related to broadcasting and learner follow-up are reserved for Coaches:

  • Broadcasting a publication to a learner group (Space Coach or Administrator only).

  • Linking a group to a publication (and vice versa).

  • Sending invitations or reminders to learners.

  • Viewing certificates issued to learners.

  • Publishing a program: the Author can create and edit the content of a program, but it's the Space Coach (or Administrator) who clicks "Publish".

💡 If you need a training course to be broadcast, contact the Coach for your space or an Administrator.

🛡️ What requires help from an Administrator

The following actions are reserved for Space or Platform Administrators:

  • Creating or managing user accounts.

  • Creating or editing learner groups (a Space Coach also has this right).

  • Accessing other Authors' personal projects.

  • Viewing licenses and global platform statistics.

  • Modifying platform settings or appearance.

💡 If you need any of these accesses, contact your Platform Administrator.
