Create Your Modules and Content

Before designing your first training course, a few minutes to understand how Didask organizes content will save you a lot of time.

🏗️ Understanding Didask's Architecture Levels

Creating a project is the first step to designing a training course on Didask. This guide takes you from creation through to publication.

📚 Create and Customize a Project

Rethink or Preserve: two AI generation modes to transform your content into e-learning. This guide helps you choose based on the nature of your source document.

🤖 Choose the Right AI Generation Mode for My Content

Transform your existing documents into structured e-learning modules in minutes: here's how to use Didask's AI generation, from project to granules.

🦾 Create Training Content with AI

Distribute your training courses in multiple languages using three complementary methods: AI translation, XLIFF import, or manual editing directly in the interface.

🌍 Translate a Training Project

Design, translate, and distribute your training courses in multiple languages without losing instructional coherence: here are our best practices, pitfalls to avoid, and levers for managing your multilingual distributions.

🗺️ Managing a Multilingual Project

Design statuses let you track the progress of your modules and coordinate work between designers. Here's what they mean and how to use them.

✅ Understanding and Using Module Design Statuses

Different module types (e-learning, in-person, SCORM, corrected assignment, evaluation, take home assignment) for designing dynamic and relevant training.

🎓 Discover the Different Module Types

The e-learning module is the standard format for delivering content and exercises for self-paced learning. Here's how to create, populate, and customize it.

🖥️ Add an E-Learning Module

Integrate a synchronous event (classroom training, virtual classroom) into your Didask course and associate resources to prepare or support your learners.

👥 Add an In-Person Module

Integrate existing SCORM content into your Didask courses to give your learners a unified learning experience without recreating resources you already have.

🗂️ Add a SCORM Module

Test your learners' knowledge at any point in the course: mid-training or at the end of a program. This guide covers creation, configuration, and validation rules.

🎓 Add an Evaluation Module

Allow your learners to submit a personal piece of work (text and/or file), which you will manually grade for individualized feedback.

📄 Add a Take-Home Assignment Module

Offer your learners a free-production exercise corrected by the intructional AI, with personalized feedback based on their response.

📝 Create and Configure a Corrected Assignment

Allow your learners to skip directly past modules they already know. The placement test personalizes the course from the moment training begins.

🧠 Enable and Configure the Placement Test

What your learners go through during the corrected assignment, and how to interpret the data available in your publication statistics.

🎓 Understanding the Learner Experience and Statistics of the Corrected Assignment

From the palette icon in the top right of the project, define the visual theme, the style of AI-generated illustrations, recurring characters, and the layout elements of modules.

🎨 Configuring the Visual Settings of a Project

Give meaning to every stage of learning by configuring the pages that frame your modules and your course.

📄 Customising the introduction and conclusion pages of a course and its modules

Show a duration that truly reflects the time your learners need, at project level or module by module.

🕘 Configure the Training Duration Display

Manage separately the title seen by your learners, your internal reference, and per-publication variants, without duplicating your projects.

🏷️ Customize a Course Title by Audience

Structure your project

Information granules allow you to deliver content without an associated exercise. Here's when to use them and how to create them.

ℹ️ Create Information Granules

The design interface offers 9 block types for building varied and engaging content. Here's what each one does and how to customize them.

🎨 Add and Customize Content Blocks

Add your custom images to your platform in a few clicks, directly from your computer.

🖼️ Import and Use Images in My Training Courses

Rephrase a text, write a scenario, or enrich your source content: the writing assistant is integrated directly into the editor via the magic wand icon 🪄.

🪄 Improve My Content with the Writing Assistant

Enrich your granules with content from third-party tools: videos, interactive presentations, forms, surveys, and much more. Here's how to do it and which tools are compatible.

💡 Embed Content Created with External Tools

Enrich your granules with downloadable resources to extend learning beyond the course.

📑 Add a Document to a Granule

Two options for integrating a video: host it directly on Didask, or embed it from an external platform. Here are the differences and how to proceed.

📽️ Add a Video

No more need for external software: record a webcam or screen-share video directly from the platform, on the author side for your content, and on the learner side for assignments…

🎥 Record a video directly from Didask

Direct your learners to an external resource in a few clicks from the granule editor.

🔗 Add a Hyperlink

Import an audio file, record your voice directly from Didask, or embed content hosted elsewhere. Three ways to enrich your granules with sound.

🔉 Add Audio

Key messages allow you to summarize the essential concepts of a granule and make them easy for the learner to refer back to. Here's how to configure them.

🔑 Add Key Messages

Flashcards allow learners to test their knowledge on their own, at the end of a module. A simple and effective lever for making what they've learned stick.

🧠 Add and Activate Flashcards

Cognitive load, readability, exercises, dialogues, colors: the design principles that make the difference between a granule you read and a granule you remember.

💡 Optimize the Instructional Effectiveness of My Granules

Automatically display each learner's first name, last name, or identifier in your granules to create a more engaging, tailored experience.

🔤 Personalize Content with Dynamic Variables

Extend the impact of your modules beyond training: with 3 to 5 micro-challenges, turn what your learners have understood into concrete actions they can apply from the very next day.

🏆 Add Micro-Challenges

Enforce a minimum reading or exercise duration on each granule to ensure your learners spend the necessary time on each piece of content.

⏱️ Configure a Minimum Viewing Time on Granules

Add reference content learners can access whenever they need it, without breaking their learning flow.

💡 Add on-demand resources to support learners throughout their training

Enrich your content

Six exercise types are available in Didask. Here's how to choose the one that best matches your instructional objective.

🧩 Choosing the Right Exercise Granule Type

Create and configure your exercises in the Didask editor: add choices, define correct answers, and write feedback for each exercise type.

⚙️ Create and Edit an Exercise: MCQ, Order, Categorize, Matrix

MCQs are often underestimated. Well designed, they are one of the most powerful formats for durably anchoring learning. Here's how to get the most out of them.

💡 Designing Effective MCQs

Move your learners from a passive to an active posture: with the open question, they construct their answer rather than choosing from options.

❓ Add an Open Question Exercise

Ask your learners to click on specific areas of an image to validate their understanding of a gesture, an interface, or a procedure.

🔍 Add an Interactive Image Exercise

Poorly written feedback is a missed opportunity. This guide gives you the keys to formulating clear, concise, and genuinely useful responses that help learners progress.

✍️ Writing Effective Feedback in Exercise Granules

The final exam lets you verify that your learners have mastered the content before validating their learning path. Here's how to configure it and what your learners will see.

🎓 Activate and Configure a Final Exam

Discover the potential of adaptive learning: adjust publications to meet individual needs and strengthen universal access.

🌟 Personalize Every Learner's Path with Adaptive Learning

Aim for the "Zone of Proximal Development": a challenge just above the current level, alternated with other concepts, to durably anchor learning.

🎯 Calibrate Difficulty to Optimize Your Learners' Learning

Didask's recommendations for automating what your learners have learned: chunking.

Didask lets you customize images in several distinct places across the platform, from the learner space to chapters. This guide covers all these locations and explains how to configure them.

🖼️ Understand and Configure Banners in Didask

Customise your module backgrounds across the whole project or module by module, and adjust contrast to ensure readability.

🎨 Understanding and configuring module backgrounds

Organize and customize

Give your learners access to corrections after their evaluations, to turn every mistake into a learning opportunity.

🎓 Enable Answer Review After a Final Exam or Evaluation Module

Three levels of preview (project, module, granule) to test your content at the right level of granularity, without ever skewing your learner data.

🔍 Preview Your Projects, Modules, and Granules Before Publishing

Identify the effect of each correction, addition, or deletion on a course that's currently live, so you can choose the right action based on the impact on your learners.
