👀 Test Your Training from a Learner's Perspective

Before distributing a training course, it is useful to go through it as a learner would. Three methods are available depending on what you want to check.

⏱️ The Essentials in 3 Minutes

Admin filters: from the Training tab, filter by group or by learner to see exactly what they see in their space.
Preview: accessible from the editor, it lets you test a granule, module, publication, or project without creating an additional account.
Test learner account: create an account with an email address you can access, log in as a learner, then deactivate the account once testing is done.

👩‍💻 1. Admin Filters in the Training Tab

From the Training tab, the admin filter lets you see the learner space as it appears for a specific group or learner, without leaving your session.

  1. Go to the Training tab.

  2. Click Admin filters.

  3. Select a group or a learner.

  4. The display reflects exactly what those learners see in their Training tab.

💡 This is the fastest method to verify that a learner or group has access to the right publications.

🔎 2. Preview from the Editor

The preview is accessible at different levels of granularity, depending on what you want to test.

Level

Access

Granule

"Preview" button in the granule editor.

Module

"Preview" button in the module editor.

Project

"Preview" button at the top right of the project.

The preview simulates the learner experience without affecting statistics or requiring a dedicated account.

🖥️ 3. Create a Test Learner Account

For a complete experience - navigation, access to publications, email reception - you can create a learner account in your name using an email address you can access.

  1. From the Users section, create a new account with an accessible email address (alias, shared inbox, etc.).

  2. Assign it the learner role only.

  3. Send an invitation and finalize the account creation.

  4. Log in with this account to go through the training as a learner.

  5. Once your testing is done, go back to Users and deactivate the account.

ℹ️ Deactivating the account prevents it from consuming a license if your space uses a Licenses model.
