๐Ÿ“ฌ Publish a Training Course and Distribute It to Learners

Configure your publication to control who accesses your training course, when, and in which language.

โฑ๏ธ The Essentials in 3 Minutes
โ€‹
โ€ข A publication is the bridge between your project and your learners: without it, no content is accessible.
โ€ข It lets you customize access, the distribution pace, and the experience for each audience, without touching the source content.
โ€ข One project can have multiple independent publications: ideal for different cohorts or varied distribution contexts.
โ€ข Changes to the project are reflected in real time across all active publications.
โ€ข Once configured, click Publish to make the training course accessible.

๐Ÿง  Understand the Pedagogical Value of a Publication

A publication is not simply going live. It lets you precisely control the learning experience:

  • Adapt the pace: unlock modules progressively to avoid cognitive overload and support memory retention.

  • Target the audience: assign the training to the right people at the right time, rather than making everything available at once.

  • Maintain engagement: activate automatic reminders for inactive learners and start-of-path notifications.

๐Ÿ“Œ Example: for a sales skills development program spread over 4 weeks, configure progressive unlocking: one module per week. Learners absorb each skill before moving on to the next, which improves long-term retention.

โœˆ๏ธ Choose Your Distribution Mode

Before configuring the details, choose how your learners access the training:

Mode

Use case

Didask platform

Direct distribution via the Didask learner space.

External LMS (SCORM Connect)

Integration into a third-party LMS (Moodle, Cornerstone, etc.).

๐Ÿ”Ž Create or Open a Publication

Create a First Publication

  1. Open the project to distribute.

  2. Click the Publish button.

  3. Select the distribution mode.

  4. If no module has the status Ready to publish, a warning message appears. Select the relevant modules or click Set all modules to "ready to publish".

Access an Existing Publication

  1. From the project, click the Publications tab.

  2. Click Manage publication or View all publications.

๐Ÿ› ๏ธ Configure the Distribution

Define the Access Type

Three modes define how learners find and access the training:

  • Assignment: the training appears as a required item in the learner space.

  • On demand: the training is available as self-service in the library.

  • Public link: the training is accessible via a URL, with or without authentication.

Activate Reminders and Invitations

  • Automatic reminders: inactive learners receive a reminder at D+2 then D+7 after their last activity (or after the start date if the path has not been started).

  • Start invitation: a notification is automatically sent to learners when the distribution opens.

๐Ÿ’ก Activate both options for training courses with a high completion priority: they significantly reduce the dropout rate.

Select the Languages Distributed

Choose the languages available in this publication. By default, only the project's main language is included.

โš ๏ธ If you add a language to the project after publishing, it is not added automatically: remember to select it manually in each relevant publication.

โœ๏ธ Customize the Learner Experience

Option

What it provides

Alternative title

Displays a different title to learners, useful if your internal naming does not match their expectations.

Learner comments

Allows learners to ask questions granule by granule; the coach is notified of each new comment.

Learning assistant (AI)

Allows learners to interact conversationally with the content and ask questions to deepen their understanding.

Path certificate

Activates certificate delivery at the end of the path (customizable from project settings).

Path description

Additional information visible above the table of contents on the learner side.

Estimated duration

Customizable per module from its introduction page (default: 10 min/module).

Learner contact

Email or name displayed on the publication card (Didask distribution only).

๐Ÿ” Control Content Availability

Define when each module becomes accessible using the unlocking options:

Mode

How it works

Manual lock (default)

You open/close each module manually.

Progressive unlocking

A module opens as soon as the previous one is completed.

Unlock after a delay

A module opens X days after the path starts.

Unlock by date

A module opens on a specific date.

๐Ÿ”” Configure End-of-Path Notifications

Choose to be notified when a learner completes the path:

  • by email;

  • directly on the platform.

๐Ÿ‘ฉโ€๐Ÿ’ป Anticipate the Learner Experience

Once the publication is active, learners see the training in their space according to the distribution mode selected. They receive the activated notifications, progress module by module according to the unlocking rules, and can comment if the option is enabled.

๐Ÿ’ก Test the experience before distributing: use the preview ๐Ÿ‘๏ธ to see it from the learner's perspective.

๐Ÿš€ Publish the Distribution

Once all tabs are configured, click Publish at the top right of the configuration panel.

๐Ÿ’ก Good to Know

A project can have multiple publications. Each publication is independent: settings, audience, and statistics are specific to each distribution. Changes to the project are reflected in real time across all active publications.

โš ๏ธ If you add a new module to an already published project, the completion rate of learners who have already completed the path will be affected. For significant changes intended for new cohorts, duplicate the project before adding content.

To track statistics, go to the Statistics tab from the publication or from the Publications menu. You will find progress, completion, score, and time-spent indicators.

๐Ÿ”Ž Understand the Different Publication Statuses

From the Publications page of your platform, you can find all created publications, whether active or not. Each publication has a badge in the top right corner indicating its exact status.

๐Ÿ’ก The Different Publication Statuses

  • Not published: the publication is created but the training has not yet been published.

  • Currently distributed: the publication is active and accessible to the defined audience.

  • Distributed in a program: the publication is not available individually, but it is accessible as part of a program.

  • Multiple distribution: the publication is accessible both individually and within a program.

โš ๏ธ Warning: if the target audience is the same for both the program and the individual publication, the training will appear twice in the learner's Training tab (once in the program, and once individually).

๐Ÿ” Use Search Filters

To quickly find a publication, use the filters available in the Publications tab:

  • Training spaces and groups: target publications created in one or more specific spaces or groups.

  • Publication types: filter by format (Path or Programs).

  • Publication status: Distributed: Assignment / Distributed: On demand / Distributed: Public link / Distributed: SCORM Connect / Not distributed.

โ“ Frequently Asked Questions

Can one project have multiple publications?

Yes. Each publication acts as an independent distribution, with its own settings, audiences, and statistics. You can customize access (groups, dates, languages, distribution mode) for each audience while sharing common source content. Changes to the project apply to all publications, but each publication retains its own progression rules, notifications, and locks.

What happens when I modify a project that has active publications?

All associated publications are updated instantly. Learners see the changes in real time. To avoid impacting an ongoing distribution, temporarily change the status of the relevant module or hide the granule before making your changes.

โš ๏ธ Adding a new module to an already published project will affect the completion rate of learners who had previously completed the path. For significant changes intended for new cohorts, we recommend duplicating the project before adding content.

How do I include my path in a program?
