📮 Publish a Training Course: Assignment, Open Access, or Public Link

Three distribution modes to adapt access to your training courses based on your context: mandatory training, self-service, or external sharing.

Written by Océane

The Essentials in 3 Minutes

Assignment: you designate the relevant groups or learners. The training appears under "My assigned training". You can add a start date and a deadline.
Open Access: the training is available as self-service on the "Training" page.
Public link: the training is accessible via an open URL, with no mandatory authentication.
• Available statistics vary depending on the mode chosen: the public link does not display global totals (overview).

🧠 Understand the Impact of Your Distribution Mode

The distribution mode does not only determine who accesses the training: it also affects available statistics, automatic reminders, and the learner experience. Choosing the right mode at publication time avoids having to reconfigure afterwards.

⚙️ Configure the Distribution Mode

  1. Open the settings of the desired publication.

  2. Choose the distribution mode: Assignment, Open Access or Public link.

  3. For assignment, search for and select the relevant groups or learners, then confirm. You can select groups AND individual learners for the same publication without conflict.

  4. Finalize your publication settings and publish.

🗂️ The Three Modes in Detail

🫵 Assignment

The training is offered to specific groups or learners. It automatically appears in their "My assigned training" section.

Available options:

  • Access start date: the training is not accessible before this date. The card appears grayed out with the tag "Available on [date]".

  • Completion deadline: learners see a due date and receive automatic reminders at D-7 and D-1. After the deadline, the training remains accessible but results are no longer counted.

Reminders are only sent to learners who have not yet completed the training, and cannot be customized. Both dates are optional and independent.

🗺️ Open Access

The training is available as self-service on the "Training" page of the platform.

🔗 Public Link

The training is accessible via a shareable URL, with no mandatory authentication. You can choose to make registration required or optional.

  • Logged-in learners appear in statistics as soon as they complete an activity.

  • Anonymous learners are counted only in aggregated data (number of unique learners), via the "Include unidentified learners" filter, available for admins and space coaches.

⚠️ With a public link, the overview (total number of learners, completion rate) is not available. As the audience may be anonymous, global totals would not be reliable. The Content and Learners tabs remain accessible for identified users.
