👤 Create a User Account

Here are the steps to create a user account on Didask.

Written by Océane

⏱️ The Essentials in 3 Minutes

• Add one or more user accounts in a few clicks from the Users section.
• You can then assign them a role and optionally give them access to a training course.
• Learners without an email address can use access codes instead.

🧠 Understand the Value of Account Creation

The learning experience starts at the point of access. The faster and smoother account creation is, the sooner your learners enter the training - and the higher your engagement rate.

Didask offers three complementary methods to onboard your learners, depending on your constraints: individual email address, bulk creation via CSV, or access code when email is not available.

📌 Example: field training for technicians without a work email. You generate unique access codes and hand them out during a briefing. Your learners log in with no friction and no account setup on their end.

⚙️ Create a Single Account

  1. Go to the Users section.

  2. Click "Add users".

  3. Enter the learner's email, last name, and first name.

  4. Click "Add" to confirm.

⚠️ Before sending the invitation, make sure the learner's email address is active and working. Sending to an inactive address may cause future emails to be blocked.

ℹ️ Certain email domains are blocked by Didask for security and traceability reasons (disposable address services such as yopmail.com, etc.). If you believe your domain is legitimate, contact us via the chat bubble at the bottom right of your Didask platform or at [email protected].

👥 Create Multiple Accounts at Once

  1. In the user addition window, click "Multiple".

  2. Enter one user per line (email, last name, first name) or import a CSV file.

  3. Confirm the bulk creation in one click.

💡 Ideal for launching a cohort or onboarding an entire team.

🔑 Learners Without an Email Address (Access Code)

If your learners do not have an email address, you can generate access codes to share with them instead.

The learner uses it to log in directly to the training, with no account setup on their end.

⁉️ Frequently asked questions about access code login:

How does the individual access code system work exactly?

The access code serves as both the username and password. The learner enters a single value to log in.

The access code is also entered manually by the admin when creating the user. When access code authentication is enabled, the "Add a user" form includes a toggle button to switch between "Email" and "Access code", allowing you to enter the desired code. The same applies to bulk creation: each line of the imported CSV file must already contain the access code value.

Do learners need to change their code at each login, or do they keep the same access?

The access code is permanent and linked to the learner's account, they use the same code at every login.

Is there a connection limit or expiration date for access codes?

No, as explained above, the code is permanent. The user must be manually deactivated to lose access.

Is it possible to track learner progress when they access the platform only via an access code?

Yes, absolutely. Progress tracking works exactly the same way as for learners who log in with an email address.

🚪 Self-Registration Option (Advanced Option)

On request, we can enable an option allowing users to register without prior admin validation. With this feature, any user with your platform link can sign up independently. Contact our team at [email protected] or via the chat bubble at the bottom right of your platform. to activate it.

⚠️ Anyone with your platform link will then be able to register independently. Reserve this option for cases where broad open access is intentional.

💡 If you use multiple training spaces: when a learner creates their account via a link to a course in Space B, they are automatically assigned to that space, not to Space A (even if Space A is the default).
