🏷️ Customize a Course Title by Audience

Manage separately the title seen by your learners, your internal reference, and per-publication variants, without duplicating your projects.

• Three types of titles coexist in Didask: the course title (seen by learners), the internal name (visible in the back office only), and the alternative title (to customize display per publication).
• The internal name never replaces what learners see, it is used to identify the project in your dashboards.
• The alternative title takes priority over the course title: if you fill it in on a publication, that is what learners see.

🧠 Why Three Distinct Titles?

The same project can be distributed to different audiences under different names, while remaining a single piece of content to maintain. Separating the learner title, the internal reference, and the per-publication title avoids duplicating projects just to change a name.

📌 Example: a generic course "Managing difficult situations" is published for two clients. The first sees "Onboarding module", the second sees "Welcome program". On the authoring side, only one version of the content to maintain.

⚙️ Configuring Each Title Type

Course title

Enter it from the project editor. This is the main title displayed to learners everywhere the course appears. It is translatable by language.

Internal name

  1. Open the project's General settings.

  2. Enable the "Use an internal name different from the course title" toggle.

  3. Enter the desired internal name.

ℹ️ By default (toggle off), the internal name is identical to the course title. Once enabled, it is visible only in back-office interfaces: administration, projects, and publications pages. Learners never see it.

📌 Example: the course is called "Managing difficult situations" for learners, but the internal team identifies it under the reference "GSD-2024-Sales" in their dashboards.

Alternative title

  1. Open the settings of the relevant publication.

  2. Go to the Experience customization section.

  3. Fill in the alternative title.

ℹ️ The alternative title does not modify the project: it applies only to that publication. Internally, the publication retains its own name. It is translatable.

👀 What Does the Learner See?

The priority order for the title displayed to learners is:

  1. Alternative title of the publication (if filled in)

  2. Course title (by default)

The internal name never appears in this display.
