⏱️ The Essentials in 3 Minutes • If your project is multilingual, you can import a separate SCORM package for each language. |
🧠 Understand the Instructional Value
Learners benefit from following a coherent course rather than switching between multiple tools. Importing existing SCORM content into Didask lets you bring together, within a single training thread, content you've already produced and native Didask modules.
📌 Example: Regulatory onboarding. You have a compliance module in SCORM format, provided by your legal team. By importing it into Didask, you slot it between your Didask adaptive modules. The learner follows a single course, and you track their progress across everything from Didask.
💡 Also useful for migrating old SCORM modules, or for integrating partner content without breaking the learner experience.
⚙️ Importing My SCORM Module
On your project page, click Add a module > SCORM.
Import your package in ZIP format.
Your SCORM appears in the project as a granule. Click the eye icon to the right of the file to preview it.
If needed, you can re-download the package from the module page.
ℹ️ Didask is compatible with SCORM 1.2 and SCORM 2004.
⚠️ Prerequisite: Add an exit button to your SCORM package. Most authoring tools (Storyline, Captivate, Genially…) allow you to insert a "Quit" button. Without it, the learner will not be able to return to the Didask course from inside the module.
🌍 Import a package per language
If your project has multiple languages, each SCORM module can have its own package per language. Learners automatically see the package in their language, and fall back to the main language if no package has been imported for theirs yet.
Switch to translation mode and import the package for the target language.
The main language package remains untouched.
Deleting the main language package also removes all associated translations.
📊 Tracking Progress and Completion
An imported SCORM module works like a standard Didask module: it has only two states.
State | When does it apply? |
Not completed (0%) | As long as an SCO in the package has not been passed or completed. |
Completed (100%) | When every SCO (step in the package) has been passed or completed. |
🎯 Enabling Evaluation Mode (with Score)
By default, an imported SCORM module has no notion of pass or fail: it is simply completed or not. To track a score, enable evaluation mode.
Create a new SCORM module in your project.
Enable the Enable evaluation settings option.
Set the minimum required score (in %), matching the one configured in your authoring tool.
Import the SCORM package.
Publish the module in a course.
Track scores in the statistics.
What you get:
A score visible in the course statistics, just like a native evaluation module.
The per-learner score available when downloading results.
🔧 Updating the minimum score after publishing
The minimum score can be adjusted at any time by going to your SCORM module settings › Options › Minimum required score. The change is saved automatically and takes effect immediately, with no need to republish.
Impact on learners who have already completed the module
Nothing is recalculated retroactively. Each past attempt keeps the result obtained when it was completed.
Threshold raised (e.g. 60 → 80%): a learner who already passed remains validated. The system never removes a validation already earned.
Threshold lowered (e.g. 80 → 60%): a learner who failed with 70% is not automatically validated. They must make another attempt, which will be assessed against the new threshold.
All new attempts are assessed against the threshold in effect at the time they are completed.
🔄 Replacing vs. Deleting a Package: Impact on Your Data
Action | Learner data |
Replace the package (re-import) | Preserved |
Delete the module (via the three-dot menu) | Lost |
💡 If you want to fix or update content without losing statistics, replace the package rather than deleting and recreating the module.
🌏 Deleting a translated language package only removes that language, affected learners automatically fall back to the main language package.
⁉️ Frequently Asked Questions
At the end of my SCORM module, the button to move to the next module doesn’t appear, why?
At the end of my SCORM module, the button to move to the next module doesn’t appear, why?
The most common cause is the Enable assessment settings option in the SCORM module. When enabled, Didask waits for the SCORM to send a score before considering the module complete. If your SCORM doesn’t include an assessment that sends a score, the module is never marked as complete and Didask won’t offer to move to the next one.
To fix this:
Open the SCORM module settings.
Under Module options, disable the Enable assessment settings option.
Only enable this option if your SCORM includes an assessment that sends a score, and only with the SCORM 2004 format.
My module is stuck at 0% completion, why?
My module is stuck at 0% completion, why?
Completion only moves to 100% when all SCOs in the package have been passed or completed. Check in your authoring tool that each step is correctly sending a completion status to the LMS.
Which SCORM versions are supported for import?
Which SCORM versions are supported for import?
SCORM 1.2 and SCORM 2004. For evaluation mode, only SCORM 2004 is supported at this time.
Can I change the minimum score after the module has been created?
Can I change the minimum score after the module has been created?
Yes. Go to the module settings and update the minimum required score (between 0 and 100%). The change takes effect immediately, with no need to republish. Note: this setting is only available in the project’s main language (greyed out in translation mode).
If I replace my package, do I lose the statistics?
If I replace my package, do I lose the statistics?
No. Only deleting the module erases learner data. A replacement preserves the history.
Can the learning assistant read the content available in the SCORM module?
Can the learning assistant read the content available in the SCORM module?
The learning assistant cannot read SCORM modules integrated into a Didask course or answer questions about that content.
