🧠 Understanding the Pedagogical Value of the In-Person Module
Learning science shows that consolidation requires spaced repetition over time. A single in-person session, however well run, produces little lasting effect if it is not prepared in advance and followed by practical application. By integrating in-person training into a Didask course, you can activate prior knowledge before the session, focus room time on what requires human interaction, and offer consolidation exercises afterwards.
⚙️ How to Create an In-Person Module
In your project, enter the module title and select the "In-person" type.
Hover over the module you created and click "Edit content".
Edit the introduction page to fill in the session information.
Add granules if needed (optional).
💡 Granules added to an in-person module act as resources associated with the session. They can be used at different moments in the course:
Before the session: preparation activities or content to read in advance.
During the session: materials to project or complete as a group.
After the session: consolidation exercises or reference resources.
