⚙️ Activate the Learning Assistant on Your Training Courses (Didask AI)

Two activation modes available, automatic or manual, to deploy the Didask learning assistant according to your needs and organization.

Written by Océane

⏱️ The Essentials in 3 Minutes

• Automatic activation (recommended) deploys the assistant across all your training courses in a single setting.
• Manual activation lets you target specific training courses and test on a limited scope.
• You can choose whether to give coaches control to adjust the setting on their publications.

🧠 Understand the Pedagogical Value of the Learning Assistant

The Didask learning assistant supports your learners throughout their training courses: it answers their contextual questions, provides personalized examples, and resolves difficulties at the exact moment they arise. Without this support, many learners move through their publication with unresolved gaps in understanding, which undermines skill development.

Activating the assistant therefore guarantees every learner continuous, context-adapted support, with no additional intervention required on your part once the setting is configured.

🔧 Choose Your Activation Mode

As an admin, you access the Didask AI section and its configuration page from the side panel. Two options are available.

Automatic activation (recommended)

The assistant is automatically activated on all your existing training courses and on every new training course created.

Benefits:

  • Simple, uniform deployment

  • No training course left out

  • Consistent experience for all learners

  • Flexibility: you can give coaches the ability to deactivate the assistant on specific publications if needed.

Manual activation

You manually select the projects whose publications will benefit from the learning assistant.

Benefits:

  • Full control over deployment

  • Option for progressive rollout

  • Adaptation to the specific needs of certain training courses

Ideal use case: if certain training courses do not require assistance, or to test on a limited scope.

👥 Understand the Coach's Role in Configuration

The level of control granted to coaches depends on your chosen activation mode.

If you choose automatic activation:

The assistant is enabled by default on all publications.

  • Option 1: you retain exclusive control. Coaches can see the setting but cannot modify it.

  • Option 2: you give coaches control. They can deactivate the assistant on specific publications via the "Experience customization" tab in the publication settings.

If you choose manual activation:

The assistant is only available on the projects you have selected. Coaches can see the status in the "Experience customization" tab but cannot modify it. Control remains entirely centralized at the admin level.

🎓 Identify What Your Learners See Once the Assistant Is Activated

Once the assistant is activated on a training course, your learners automatically benefit from:

  • the ability to share their context for personalized responses,

  • permanent access to the chat throughout the training course,

  • responses based on your training content with an indication of the reliability level.

💡 The learning assistant cannot read SCORM modules embedded in a Didask publication and answer questions about that content.

✨ Deployment Tips

For a first deployment: start with manual activation on a few pilot training courses to familiarize yourself with the tool.

For large-scale deployment: opt for automatic activation with coach control for maximum flexibility.
