🔒 This feature is optional. If it is not included in your contract, your Didask contact can advise you on how to activate it.
⏱️ The essentials
• The Notion connector continuously ingests content from your Notion workspace into Didia's knowledge base.
• Configuration is done from Didia AI › Connectors.
• Shared pages are synced automatically: any change in Notion is reflected in the knowledge base within minutes.
• Note: all synced pages are visible to all users in your Didask space, regardless of the permissions set in Notion.
🧠 What is this connector for?
Rather than manually importing your Notion documents into the knowledge base, the connector maintains a continuous sync. As soon as a page is updated in Notion, Didia automatically has the latest version, with no action required on your part.
This is particularly useful for content that changes regularly: internal procedure databases, product wikis, release notes, HR documentation…
⚙️ Setting up the connector
Notion connector configuration is reserved for Platform Administrators.
Go to the side panel: Didia AI › Connectors.
Select Notion, configure access settings, and click Connect.
Authenticate with your Notion account and select the pages or databases to share with Didask.
The initial sync starts automatically.
⚠️ Known limitations
Access rights
Access rights defined in Notion are not carried over to Didask. All synced pages are accessible to all users in your space, regardless of their permission level in Notion. Keep this in mind when choosing which pages to share.
💡 If you would like access rights to be adjustable based on your needs, contact your Didask contact (Customer Success Manager or Key Account Manager).
Adding pages after the initial connection
The scope of synced pages is defined at the time of connection. If you add pages later via "Edit shared pages" in Notion:
An individual page is synced in approximately 10 minutes.
A database or page tree is added without its entries or sub-pages.
A page re-added after being removed may not come back automatically.
ℹ️ In these cases, the solution is to disconnect and reconnect the connector: all content is re-ingested from scratch.
Initial sync
The initial sync may miss pages beyond approximately 300 pages processed simultaneously. If your Notion workspace is large, we recommend checking that important pages are present in the knowledge base after the first sync.
💡 If you want to ingest more than 300 pages, contact your Didask contact (Customer Success Manager or Key Account Manager).
Page deletion
When a page is deleted in Notion, it remains available in Didia's knowledge base until the next full daily sync (up to 24 hours).
Database templates
Page templates present in your Notion databases are ingested as regular pages. If you don't want them to appear in the knowledge base, delete them manually from the source management settings.
"Relation" properties
Notion properties of type Relation only display pages that have been included in the sync. If the linked databases or pages were not shared during setup, those relations will not appear. Make sure to include all referenced databases from the initial connection to preserve your links.
Missed changes
In rare cases, a change made in Notion may not be reflected in the knowledge base if the update notification could not be processed in time. The update will be picked up the next time the page is edited.
Large images
Images over 10 MB hosted in Notion (or whose copy failed) may no longer display correctly after approximately 1 hour, due to the expiry of image links generated by Notion.
Capacity
Your platform can only connect to a single Notion workspace.
