🧠 Understanding the Value of Design Statuses
In a project involving multiple designers, it is easy to lose track: which module is finished? Which one is waiting for review? Design statuses address this need by making the progress of each module visible at a glance, without unnecessary back-and-forth.
🗂️ Design Statuses
🔧 Work in progress The module is being created. Changes still need to be made. Use this status when you are actively working on the content.
🕐 To validate The module is ready to be reviewed and validated by other contributors. Use this status to signal to other designers that a review is expected.
✅ Validated The module has been validated by all contributors and is ready to be published. This status is not permanent: you can change it at any time if adjustments are needed.
📡 Distribution Statuses
🛜 To publish / Broadcasted is a separate status that indicates whether the module is included or not in the project's active publications. Its label changes automatically based on the distribution state of the associated publication.
When your publication is being distributed, only modules with "Broadcasted" status are accessible to learners. Any changes made to their content are immediately reflected in the publication.
To edit a module without impacting an ongoing distribution, temporarily change its status. If the change only concerns a single granule, you can hide it from the publication directly using the dedicated button (via the three dots on the right of the granule) without affecting the rest of the module.
⚙️ How to Change a Module's Status
In your project, click on the status displayed next to the module to open the dropdown and select the desired status.
