🔒 Integrate Custom User Fields

Add your own custom fields to collect specific information about your learners.

Written by Océane

🔒 PAID OPTION : To activate this feature, contact your Customer Success Manager or Key Account Manager directly.

⏱️ The Essentials in 3 Minutes

• What custom fields are for and what information you can collect.
• How they integrate into the registration form and user profile.
• Where to find them (profile, exports, API) and how to activate them (paid option).

🧠 Understand the Value of Custom Fields

Knowing your learners well means supporting them better. Custom fields let you link each learner to their professional context (employee ID, business unit, site, country...) directly in Didask - no parallel Excel spreadsheet or HR database to reconcile.

This data enriches your analyses, makes cohort segmentation easier, and feeds your internal tools via the API.

📌 Example: an international organization with 3 business units. You add a Business Unit field (dropdown) and a Country field to the registration form. On export, you filter statistics by BU to compare completion rates, and you send the data to your HRIS via the API.

📋 Identify the Available Fields

Default fields (already present on all accounts):

  • Last name

  • First name

  • Email address

  • Employer name

Custom fields you can add:

  • Employee ID

  • Business unit

  • Country

  • Site

  • Internal identifier

  • Any other data useful to your organization

🎨 Configure a Custom Field

Each custom field can be configured to suit your needs.

Setting

Options

Field type

Free text or dropdown (with predefined values).

Required

Mandatory at registration, or optional.

Editing

Accessible and editable at any time from the user profile.

💡 Use dropdowns for fields that need to stay standardized (BU, country, site...). This ensures clean exports and easy filtering.

💻 Access Your Data Across the Platform

Once filled in, your custom data is available:

  • On the user profile: viewable and editable at any time.

  • In XLSX exports: automatically included in the main exports (learner activity, progress, course progress).

  • Via the public API: for your external integrations (HRIS, BI, data lake).

💡 No more manual reprocessing - you get all your enriched data in a single export.

⚙️ Activate the Feature

Activation and configuration of custom fields is done with support from our team.

  1. Contact your Didask Customer Success Manager or Key Account Manager to share your requirements.

  2. List the fields you want (label, type, required or not).

  3. Our team configures the fields on your platform.

  4. Once set up, they appear in the registration form and on user profiles.
