⏱️ The Essentials in 3 Minutes |
⚠️ Prerequisite: Enabling end-of-module training requires the administrator to have configured the learning assistant. This configuration can be automatic, or manual by selecting the relevant projects from the dropdown (Configuration > Learning Assistant > Manual activation).
🧠 Understand the Pedagogical Value of End-of-Module Practice
End-of-module practice leverages the testing effect: actively retrieving information from memory is one of the most effective levers for consolidating learning. By making this practice mandatory, you ensure that all your learners benefit from this reinforcement, not just those who would spontaneously choose to practice.
⚙️ Configure Practice on Your Modules
When the learning assistant is activated on a project, end-of-module practice is enabled in optional mode by default on all modules. You can adjust this setting module by module.
The 2 available modes:
Optional (default): the learner chooses whether to practice, and how many questions (2, 5, or 7). Ideal for letting each learner practice according to their needs.
Mandatory (recommended): the learner must complete the practice to validate the module. You define the number of questions: 2 (flash), 5 (standard), or 7 (in-depth). This mode ensures all your learners benefit from the pedagogical value of practice.
Practice is available on e-learning module types only.
Disable practice on a module:
Some modules do not lend themselves to end-of-module practice: introduction or context modules, short modules with little content, modules made up only of PDFs or videos (these formats are not yet supported by the AI for question generation). In these cases, you can disable practice at the module level.
🪄 Configure End-of-Module Practice, Step by Step
Open your project, then the e-learning module to configure.
Scroll down to the "End-of-module practice" section - hover over it, click the three dots on the right, then click "Enable end-of-module practice".
Click "Edit practice" at the top right and select the mode: optional or mandatory. If you choose mandatory, select the number of questions (2, 5, or 7).
To disable practice on this module, scroll down to the "End-of-module practice" section, hover over it, click the three dots on the right, then click "Enable end-of-module practice" to uncheck the option.
Note: the learning assistant must be activated beforehand. Only an admin can activate it from the platform administration.
👨💻 Understand What the Learner Sees
End-of-module practice integrates directly into the module flow, after the last piece of content. The learner does not need to switch screens or open a separate tool: the experience is seamless and part of the training.
In optional mode: the learner is offered the practice and chooses how many questions to answer (2, 5, or 7). They can also skip and continue their path.
In mandatory mode: the learner must answer the number of questions defined by the author to validate the module and continue.
In both cases: questions are personalized based on the learner's context (role, industry) and objectives. After each response, the assistant provides detailed feedback identifying what is mastered and what can be deepened, with examples adapted to the learner's situation.
📊 Track Practice Results
End-of-module practice statistics are accessible in the publication statistics, at the module level. They appear alongside the stats for the module's other content.
Available indicators:
Duration: the median time learners spent on the practice.
Questions: the average number of questions.
Practice type: indicates whether practice is configured as optional or mandatory.
Difficulty: a score calculated from learner responses, on 3 levels (easy, moderate, or difficult). This score only appears once a certain number of learners have completed the practice (approximately 5).
Started: the number of learners who started the practice.
Completed: the number of learners who completed it.
❓ Frequently Asked Questions
What is the difference between 2, 5, and 7 questions?
What is the difference between 2, 5, and 7 questions?
2 questions (flash) is suitable for a quick check. 5 questions (standard) offers a good balance between depth and time spent. 7 questions (in-depth) is suited to dense or critical content where you want to maximize practice.
How can I tell if the practice is too difficult for my learners?
How can I tell if the practice is too difficult for my learners?
The difficulty indicator in the stats gives you a signal. If the score consistently shows "Difficult" on a module, it may be a sign that the content needs adjustments or that learners need more support beforehand.
In optional mode, what happens if the learner skips the practice?
In optional mode, what happens if the learner skips the practice?
They continue their path normally. The module is considered completed. Statistics will reflect the gap between the number of learners who completed the module and those who started the practice.
When should I use optional mode rather than mandatory?
When should I use optional mode rather than mandatory?
Optional mode is suited for review content or supplementary modules, where you want to let the learner manage their own pace. For most modules, mandatory mode is recommended.
