🧠 Understanding the Pedagogical Value of Images
A well-chosen image reduces cognitive load: it conveys at a glance what an entire paragraph would struggle to explain. It also anchors content in a real, familiar context for the learner. Conversely, a generic or decorative image with no connection to the content distracts without adding value. Every image in a granule should have a clear pedagogical intent.
🗂️ Built-in Image Libraries
From the image selector in the editor, three tabs are available.
Photos (Unsplash)
Available by default. Large library of royalty-free photos, in landscape orientation. Keyword search.
Illustrations and icons
Didask library of stylized visuals, available by default. Several styles: Picto, Cartoon, Outline, Clean line. Keyword search.
Getty Images (optional)
Premium library of professional photos. Available on activation, to learn more, contact us via the bubble in the bottom right of your platform.
To add an image from one of the image libraries to your favorites, hover over it and click the star icon ⭐️.
⚙️ How to Import an Image
In the editor, click the default image displayed, then click "Replace".
In the selection menu, click the "Import" button in the top left.
Select your image file from your computer.
💡 You can select multiple files at once: they will be imported simultaneously and grouped in the "Imported Images" collection, accessible to the entire team.
To add an imported image to your favorites, hover over it and click the star icon ⭐️.
👀 Image Visibility by Origin
Image visibility depends on how it was added to the platform.

⚠️ There is no shared media library for manual imports.

💡 Tip: hovering over an existing image in the editor reveals a "Shuffle" 🎲 button. It replaces the image with a suggestion suited to the granule's content, without going through the selector.
