πŸͺ‘ Reorganisation of training spaces

Training spaces have been redesigned to better meet your needs.

They now operate as secondary spaces on your platform, allowing you to group users, learner groups, projects, and publications within each space in a clear, organised, and secure manner.

πŸ‘‰ To learn more, read our article on training spaces.

🎩 New user roles

βͺ Before

  • Previously, users with the designer role also had administrative rights. With this update, the designer role will no longer include administrative rights.

😌 No need to worry: To ensure a smooth transition, users previously designated as designers on your platform have automatically been converted to administrators.

β†ͺ️ This means no permissions were lost during this update. It is now your responsibility to review permissions and determine which users require the global privileges of the administrator role and which should have the more focused designer role.

  • The learner role was previously assigned by default to all users on your Didask platform. To give you more flexibility with permissions, this role will no longer be automatically assigned to every user.

😌 Again, you don’t need to take any action. All existing users who already had the default learner role will retain it.

β†ͺ️ For future registrations, be sure to assign this role manually if you want it linked to your user profiles.

➑️ Today

Here are the roles you can now assign to your users, offering more granular permission management:

  • πŸŽ“ Learner β†’ This role only provides access to a personal learning space and shared training courses. It does not include any creation or administrative rights.

  • πŸ§‘β€πŸš€ Facilitator β†’ This role allows users to manage learners by overseeing enrolments, distributions, and monitoring statistics.
β†ͺ️ It can be assigned at the level of specific learner groups or training spaces.

  • ✍️ Designer β†’ This role now strictly allows content creation on the platform with limited or extensive access to the creation studio.
β†ͺ️ It can be assigned to one or multiple training spaces.

  • πŸ§™ Administrator β†’ This role provides administration capabilities for your platform or specific spaces within it (if you have multiple spaces), granting access to the β€œback office” in the administration area.
β†ͺ️ It can be assigned at the level of individual spaces or the entire platform.

πŸ‘‰ To learn more about the permissions of each role, read our article dedicated to user roles on Didask.
