❓Overview
Training spaces work as secondary spaces of your platform. They allow to group into separate spaces of users, learner groups, projects and publications (whether they are courses or programs).
💡 Why use it?
This feature allows for segmentation of your platform and can be useful for you in the case of you are part of a large organization that has projects with complex broadcasts (e.g. large organizations or networks of schools divided into several regions or large suppliers).
By creating a Training Area, you can assign speakers to specific roles (learners, designers, administrators or facilitators) and thus limit their access and scope of action. Then simply add the appropriate projects, publications and/or groups of learners that are linked to them.
⏱️ When to use it?
Training Spaces offer great flexibility to organize your pedagogical platform. Here are some tips to help you decide whether they are a great fit to your needs:
🚦 Some important reminders before creating a Training Space:
Training Spaces divide the platform into multiple parts:
Each Space will have its own users, groups andprojects, without the possibility of sharing between spaces.
Users can be added to multiple spaces, but a learner can only belong to one space.
Groups and projects will be specific to each space, without the option of sharing between spaces.
⚠️ An exception: Publications created in one workspace can be shared with other workspaces to facilitate the distribution of your training courses.
💡 Note: The creation of Training workspaces is not always necessary and may involve additional complexity. Before creating a Space, carefully evaluate if it really meets your needs in terms of organization and content management.
Group creation can often solve many management issues, so consider using this feature first.
Visibility issues and sharing in the Studio will soon be resolved with a new feature that allows you to choose co-designers for projects (which will avoid creating separate spaces just for this purpose).
