🎨 Configuring the Visual Settings of a Project

From the palette icon in the top right of the project, define the visual theme, the style of AI-generated illustrations, recurring characters, and the layout elements of modules.

⏱️ The Essentials in 3 Minutes

• The course theme applies to all modules in the project: colors, logo, and chapter labels.
• The visual style determines the type of illustrations the AI automatically generates in your granules.
• Recurring characters (narrator, protagonists) ensure visual consistency throughout the course.
• The default trainer appears on module introduction pages and in exercise feedback.

🧠 Understanding the Value of Visual Consistency

A visually consistent learning course strengthens the credibility of the content and reduces cognitive load for learners: they don't have to adapt to an environment that changes from one module to the next. Configuring visual settings upfront, before creating content, ensures that all modules in the project share the same visual identity, with no need to manually revisit each granule.

🖌️ Course Theme

The "Course theme" section lets you apply colors and specific options to this project, independently of other projects on the platform.

Theme colors: select a theme from the dropdown, one that was previously created in the platform settings. The eye icon lets you preview the rendering before confirming.

💡 Good to know: Exercise backgrounds are directly affected by the theme selected for the project. To modify them, go to the Customization section (accessible to administrators only) of the platform to create or edit your custom theme.

Content blocks can also have custom backgrounds, accessible from the content editor via a button that appears on hover: 🎨 Style.

Additional options:

  • Use a different logo from the one defined for the platform: enable this option to associate a specific logo with this project — for example if you are creating training courses for multiple brands or clients.

  • Replace "Chapter" with a custom term: if your organization uses different vocabulary ("Sequence", "Part", "Unit"…), you can replace the label displayed in the learner interface.

🖼️ Visual Style Used by the AI

This setting determines the style of illustrations automatically generated by the AI when creating content. Seven styles are available:

Style

Description

Photos & illustrations

Mix of real photographs and illustrations

Outline & characters

Line-drawn characters, clean style

Cartoon & illustrations

Colorful cartoon style

Clear line

Clear-line illustration, comic book style

Photos only

Photographs alone, no illustrations

Photos & illustrations (mixed)

Combination of photos and stylized illustrations

No illustrations

No automatically generated images

Choose a style consistent with your brand guidelines and the tone of your training courses. This choice applies to the entire project.

👤 Recurring Characters

Recurring characters ensure narrative continuity throughout the course. The AI reuses them in dialogue granules and role-play scenarios.

  • Your narrator: the through-line of the course, present recurrently throughout the training.

  • Protagonist #1: a supporting character who interacts with the narrator during scenarios.

  • Protagonist #2: a second secondary character to enrich dialogues.

Click on each character to choose their appearance from the available options.

📄 Module Page Customization

  • Background image: import an image that will be displayed as the background of module introduction and end pages. Recommended for reinforcing the visual identity of the course.

  • Default trainer: define the name and avatar of the trainer who will appear on module introduction pages and in exercise feedback. You can add multiple avatars via the "+" button and select the one to use by default.
