The new authoring interface applies to projects already on the new learner experience, as well as any projects created or converted after the activation date.
Projects still running the legacy learner experience will continue to use the old studio until they are converted.

Yes. Didask provides an onboarding course hosted on a dedicated Didask platform, continuously maintained and updated by our instructional design team.

A transition window runs from June through August, giving you time to convert all remaining projects.

If you still have projects on the legacy learner experience, yes, you'll need to convert them.
β οΈ As of May 1st, new projects can no longer be created in the legacy experience. Starting May 28th, you won't be able to distribute projects that haven't been converted.
Existing active distributions won't be interrupted, but you can't create new ones until the project has been converted.

Go to your project settings, open the "Vertical Learner Experience" tab, and click "Convert now."
The project will switch to the new learner experience and you'll get access to the new authoring interface right away. π

No. Conversion doesn't interrupt any active publiations.
Learners simply see the new experience. All completion, progress, and learner data is fully preserved.

The biggest change is a unified editing view that makes authoring much more intuitive.
Instead of jumping between separate granules, everything in a module is now displayed in a single continuous vertical flow, mirroring exactly what learners see.

"What you see is what you get": the editing view closely mirrors what learners will actually see.
The layout, order, and visual presentation in the editing view reflect the actual learner view, making course design much more straightforward.

Your project list now works like a standard file browser. You can organize projects into folders and subfolders, filter by owner, and sort much more easily.

Secondary options are now tucked into a streamlined header.
From there, you can access visual customization, recurring character setup, AI generation style, language management, certificates, exports, author permissions, and general settings. All without leaving the project view. π

A side panel opens where you can configure distribution settings or add more publications for the same course.
The "View all publications" button lets you see all publications linked to that project.
The "Publications" page is still available for a full view across all your projects.

Yes, you can reorder modules using the button on the left side of each module.
Drag and drop is also supported for reordering modules within a chapter or moving them to a different chapter.

Yes. Select multiple modules using the checkboxes, and you can duplicate, move, or delete them all in one action.

You can either click a granule in the left-hand menu, or simply scroll through the right panel where all granules are stacked vertically in sequence.
Scrolling past the end of one granule automatically takes you to the next.

Yes. Interactive exercises can be previewed and tested right in the editing view -- exactly as a learner would experience them.
A dedicated "Edit exercise" button opens a split-screen panel, with the editing form on the left and a live preview on the right.

Yes. You can convert an existing exercise to a different type (for example, from a multiple-choice question to a categorization exercise) directly from the edit view.

The authoring view lets you edit content and see it as learners will, so there's no need to hunt for it in a separate tab anymore.

All flashcards in a chapter are grouped together, making it much easier to review and edit them without switching views.

The Document block replaces the old PDF block, letting you attach downloadable files to your content. Learners can download the file in just one click.
You can also add a caption to describe the file.
For PDFs, you can also choose to display them inline in a viewer instead of as a download link.

Each file type is displayed with a matching icon.

It comes with multiple layout options: standard bullets, numbered lists (numbers or letters), checkmarks and crosses (great for do/don't lists), stars, warning icons, accordion sections, cards, timeline, and process steps.
Some layouts include subtle animations when displayed to learners.

The Accordion layout is ideal for supplementary or optional content you don't want shown by default.
Learners can expand each section on demand, reducing visual clutter while keeping the content accessible.

Items are displayed with date labels along a visual timeline.

The end-of-module practice is an AI-generated sequence of exercises placed at the end of each module.
The AI analyzes all content in the module (videos and PDFs not yet supported) and creates a personalized question sequence that adapts to each learner's level with progressively increasing difficulty.

Anywhere an image can be added (flashcard, chapter illustration, exercise item, etc.), a button lets you instantly generate an image suggestion based on the surrounding content.
You can regenerate to get different options. If you edit the text, a new suggestion is generated automatically.
