⏱️ The essentials in 3 minutes
What SSO-only mode does: a simplified login page and stronger access governance.
How to enable it: through your CSM, once SSO is already configured on your platform.
What still works (magic links, access codes) and what no longer applies (email and password login).
🧠 Why SSO-only mode matters
A frictionless login experience means learners get into their training faster. SSO-only mode removes all options from the login page. Learners see a single "Log in with SSO" button. No confusion, no risk of accidentally creating a local account, and no extra steps if their session is already active.
From a governance perspective, this option ensures that all access goes through your corporate directory, whether that's Azure AD, Okta, Google Workspace, or another provider. This simplifies account management and helps you meet security audit requirements.
📌 Example: Imagine a large organization with 5,000 employees. The IT team enables SSO-only mode. The result: learners log in with a single click from the intranet, with no new password to remember, and the IT department satisfies its annual access centralization audit.
⚙️ Enabling SSO-only mode
Before you begin: SSO (SAML or OIDC) must already be configured on your platform. If you haven't done this yet, see: 🔗 Understanding and enabling SSO on Didask.
Contact your Didask Customer Success Manager, or reach out to our support team at [email protected].
Our team will enable SSO-only mode on your platform.
Once enabled, the login page will only display the "Log in with SSO" button. The email and password fields will no longer appear.
⚠️ SSO-only mode can only be enabled by the Didask team on our end. It is not something you can toggle yourself from the admin interface.
🔄 Temporarily disabling SSO-only mode
Need to restore email and password login temporarily, for example during an SSO migration, an IdP outage, or to provide emergency access? Your CSM can disable the option at any time. The change takes effect immediately after a page reload.
💡 What to know before enabling
No accounts are deleted or migrated. Existing accounts remain accessible via SSO, as long as the user is also present in your corporate directory.
Magic links and access codes continue to work as normal. SSO-only mode only removes the password login option.
Admins are subject to the same login rules as learners. Make sure all your admins are provisioned in your SSO directory before enabling this option.
Didask's support team retains dedicated access to your workspace for troubleshooting purposes.
If no SSO is configured on your platform, this option will have no effect.
