π§ Understand Why Conversion Matters
The vertical learner experience is becoming the default on Didask. For several months, the old and new experiences coexisted to give you time to get familiar with the changes. From now on, all our improvements and new AI features are reserved for projects using the vertical experience.
π To learn more about this experience, see the article: Everything you need to know about the vertical learner experience.
π‘ Conversion is safe: a copy of your original project is automatically preserved.
π Key Dates to Keep in Mind
Date | Milestone | What happens |
π’ Early May | New experience only | New projects can only be created in the new vertical experience. |
π May 28 | New authoring interface rollout | The new authoring interface is available for all converted projects and projects created in the new learner experience. |
π΄ August 31 | Conversion deadline | Convert your projects before August 31. After this date, conversion will be done automatically. |
β« Early September | Old experience disabled | The old learner experience is no longer available. All projects are on the new vertical experience. |
π‘ The sooner you convert, the sooner you benefit from new features (especially AI) and the new authoring interface.
πͺ Convert Your Projects in Just a Few Clicks
To identify projects to convert, use the filters available from your Projects page.
Reminder: projects still to be converted can be identified in your project list by the β³ icon displayed to the right of the title.
Two methods are available depending on the volume.
Step | πΉ Project by project | πΈ In bulk |
Step 1 | Open the project, go to "Settings", then the "Vertical learner experience" tab. | Open the folder of your choice and select the projects you want (using the checkboxes on the left). |
Step 2 | Click "Convert now". | Click the πͺ magic wand icon (at the bottom of the screen). |
Step 3 | Your project is converted (along with any associated publications). | Your projects are converted (along with any associated publications). |
π Note: bulk conversion is available as soon as you select 2 or more projects. For a single project, go through the project settings.
π Understand What Happens During Conversion
Element | Impact of conversion |
Ongoing publishing | β No impact. Publishing continues without interruption or pause. |
Existing statistics | β Fully preserved. |
Learner data | β No data loss. |
Learners | β No action required on their end. |
π‘ You can convert a project even while it is being actively published, without any risk of disrupting your learners' experience.
π Understand That Conversion Is Irreversible
β οΈ Once converted, a project cannot be reverted to its previous form, even by contacting our support team.
To ensure nothing is lost:
At the time of conversion, a copy of your original project remains under the old learner experience.
This copy is not published to your learners - only the converted project is.
It is stored in a Back-ups folder, automatically created in each space of your Didask platform.
β οΈ Important: when converting, do not disable the backup toggle shown in the conversion window. This is what ensures your original project is saved.
π Why Convert Now?
All our improvements and version updates now apply exclusively to the vertical experience. New AI features for your learners are also exclusive to this experience.

π "Vertical learner XP" tool
The "Vertical learner experience" page (vertical learner XP) is available in your admin space (under Settings). It lets you track the conversion status of all your projects in real time and plan your project conversions with confidence.
What you can do from this page:
View your total number of projects and how they are split between the old and new learner experience
Identify at a glance the projects still to be converted, by training space
Distinguish between converted projects with or without a saved backup
Export the list as a CSV
How to read the data:
Without vertical experience: projects still on the old experience, to be converted before August 31
Vertical learner experience: projects already converted or created natively on the new experience
With backup: converted projects whose original backup is still present
Without backup: new or converted projects whose backup has been deleted
