🔍 What is it?
The Assignment, Catalog, and Public Link distribution modes allow you to clearly indicate how your Didask publications are accessible to your learners:
Assignment highlights the training courses that your learners must complete.
Catalog leaves the publication available for self-service in the catalog.
Public Link shares the training course via an open URL (without authentication).
This change replaces the old “Private/Public” duo to offer a more intuitive reading for both facilitators and learners.
🎯 Who is it for?
Coaches/Managers/Administrators who distribute training courses to specific groups.
Learning managers who want to differentiate between mandatory training and advisory resources.
Learners who need to immediately identify their priority actions.
💼 Use cases covered
Launch an onboarding program where each new hire must complete the assigned modules.
Maintain a catalog of optional resources without disrupting the prioritization hierarchy.
Share a training course open to external partners via a public link.
🛠️ How does it work?
🔹 For Coaches/Managers in the Studio
Step 1: Open Studio > Publications and select the desired publication.
Step 2: Click on the Assignment, Catalog, or Public Link tab.
Step 3: For Assignment, use the search field to select the relevant groups, then confirm.
Step 4: Start distributing your training course.
🔹 For learners
Publications distributed in Assignment automatically appear in the “Assigned training courses” section of the user's Home page.
Publications distributed in the Catalog appear on the “Catalog” page.
💡 Good to know
Existing publications have been migrated automatically (Private → Catalog or Public Link depending on the current options).
Public links can combine authenticated and non-authenticated users, but keep this option for truly open cases.
👀 What does it look like?
Studio: a mode selector in the Assignment / Catalog / Public Link tab, with a filterable list of groups for Assignment and Catalog.
