Enhance communication with learners by using the Messages tab to send group messages.

The "Messages" tab allows learners, facilitators, and administrators to communicate within their respective groups.

What This Means for You

👥 As a Designer:

  • Foster human interaction through a chat/forum, enabling learners to engage with one another, ask questions, and collaborate.

  • Gather feedback from learners using an integrated questionnaire at the end of the training.

  • Easily respond to learners' queries with just a few clicks.

🎓 For Learners:

Build a sense of belonging and collaboration by enabling learners to communicate with each other or seek opinions, much like synchronous training sessions.

⚠️ Note: This discussion forum does not support thematic folders. Exchanges occur group by group. Announcements can be sent to all groups or specific groups of your choice.

🔎 How it works

  1. Access the Messages Tab:

    • Click on the "Messages" tab.

    • View all conversations on the left-hand side of the screen. All groups the user belongs to are displayed alphabetically, making navigation easier.

  2. Engage with Groups:

    • Click on a group to view the conversation and send messages visible to all group members.

  3. Send Announcements to Multiple Groups:

    • Use the "Make an Announcement" button to draft a message and select the groups to which it should be sent.

👉 Available features

When clicking on a group:

  • View existing messages.

  • See who sent each message (name, surname, avatar/photo).

  • Check the list of people with access to the conversation by clicking the group’s name.

  • Send new messages, edit, and delete them if needed.

For all users, the group list (sorted by space) appears on the left-hand side of the page. This list includes:

  • Groups where the user is a learner.

  • Groups where the user is a group facilitator.

  • All groups in the space for space facilitators and administrators.

  • All platform groups for platform administrators.

A search bar is also available to find groups easily.

FAQ: Messages Tab

Do all participants receive the same information?

Yes. When information is shared in a group, all members of the group can access it. For individual exchanges with a learner, we recommend using email.

What are the requirements for accessing group messages?

To access messages, the user must belong to a group. A learner or facilitator not part of a group will not see any messages in the section. Additionally, designers do not have access to the Messages tab.
