1️⃣ What are information granules?

💡 Information granules allow you to deliver essential information without requiring learners to complete a learning activity.

Various types of content can be inserted here. You can also use blocks from our visual editor (text/image blocks, speech bubbles) to guide your creation process.

When should you use information granules?

We recommend using information granules in the following contexts:

  • When you need to share information that the learner is unlikely to question or challenge

  • When you want to demonstrate a gesture or a procedure and want to keep the learner’s attention focused

  • When you're looking to design a training course quickly by converting slides into content

2️⃣  How to add one?

Within a training project created on the Didask platform, you can choose the granule type: exercise granule or information granule.

Once you select the information granule, you’ll be able to fill in the card that appears with the title and learning objective of your granule — the key concept to retain.

⬆️ Note: As with the exercise granule, what you write in this card will not be visible to the learner.

3️⃣ How to write it?

Information granules follow the same linear structure as exercise granules. They are made up of:

  • A main field for introducing the essential concept

  • A key message

  • An explanation

  • Optionally, a flashcard and/or a micro-challenge

📌 Note: Unlike exercise granules, you won’t find any questions, answer choices, or feedback fields.

➡️ To customize the layout of your granule:

1️⃣ Choose from the toolbar (text, images, dialogue, video, audio, PDF, embed, image analysis).

2️⃣ You can select and insert any combination of elements you wish.

👉 To add italics, bold, color, or a hyperlink, simply highlight the content and choose the formatting you want.

3️⃣ Each section can then be:

  • Moved up or down using the arrow buttons

  • Duplicated using the icon with two squares

  • Deleted by clicking the trash icon

4️⃣ To customize the content of the granule, you have two options:

👉 From the central project page:

👉 Using the “Content” button:

5️⃣ To customize the display of the granule, you can adjust three visual elements:

  • Layout icon: to select layout presets

  • Style icon: to personalize the theme and section backgrounds

  • Format icon: to adjust the vertical margin size (S / M / L)
