📢 Setting an expiration date for a group allows you to select a date after which learners will no longer have access to the publications associated with that group.

🛠 How does it work?

Configuring an expiry date for a group gives you full control over when learners can start a course and how much time they have to complete it, according to your needs.

1/ To define the expiry date for a group and its associated publications:

  • Access the Administration area of your platform.

  • Then click on Manage Groups or Users and Groups.

2/ Click on the group of your choice and activate the "Set an expiry date" option.

3/ Set the final date on which learners can access and view the courses. After this date, the course(s) and training materials will no longer be accessible.

🕦 Note: The end date is expressed in UTC time, which means the course will be locked at 23:59:59 UTC on the selected date. For example, if your time zone is UTC +04:00, the course will be locked at 03:59:59 on the following day.

➡️ Here is what you'll see in your "Groups" tab on your Administration page when a group has not yet reached its expiry date.

On the learner's homepage, these courses will appear as expired, and learners will no longer be able to open them. ⚠️ Note: The progress of learners in an expired group is, of course, recorded.
