🪄 The "Conversion" button is now available in your instance, allowing you to migrate all your modules and granules to the new learner experience.

🚧 This mode can be tested internally, but we recommend not sharing it with learners just yet, as we are still working on final optimizations to ensure full feature parity between the old and new experiences.

⚙️ Where and how to convert your projects to the new learner experience

Watch this video by Diane, our Product Manager, to learn how to convert your projects in just a few clicks! 🪄

1️⃣ Go to your project's Settings tab: If your project is eligible for conversion, you'll see a blue dot above the "Settings" tab.

2️⃣ Navigate to the New Learner Experience section located at the bottom left of the menu.

3️⃣ Check the box “Save an unmodified copy of my project” and click “Convert now”

4️⃣ Open your project’s content

📝 What to do based on content type?

👉 For legacy modes:

  • Videos

  • Short stories

  • Image analysis

These contents are automatically converted - no action needed! 🎉

👉 For Free Mode:

Since the learner experience (LX) update, Free Mode no longer exists.
Previously created blocks are still visible and functional for learners but can no longer be edited in the editor.

✅ Case 1: I want to keep the content as it is

  • Good news: your content remains exactly as it is

  • It works for learners - no action required on your part

✅ Case 2: I want to modify the content

  • It is not possible to edit the content directly within converted blocks

  • These blocks are identified with an orange banner at the top, stating:

“This block cannot be edited - ‘Free Mode’ content from the previous learner experience.”

  • You'll need to manually copy and paste the information into new, supported blocks.

ℹ️ Content types affected by Free Mode:

  • Rich text

  • Images

  • Embedded videos (YouTube, Vimeo, etc.)

  • PDFs

  • External content (e.g., Genially via iframe)

  • Hyperlinks (URLs)
